This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

“Aish Tomid – Lo Sichbeh”

By Shmuli Telsner

Aibishter, we are told that you fulfill everything you command us in your Torah, you commanded us never to extinguish the flame, if that is the case I ask you, how could you extinguish the flame - my friend Nosson?
Nosson Noteh Deitsch A”H was a boy who embodied life – “Chayim”, a beautiful boy with a warm and welcoming smile, a boy with a good word on his lips and a cheerful gesture, a real “M’urov Im Habriyos”, but to sum up his personality in one word; he was ALIVE. Everything about him lived, the way he Davened, the way he learned the way he spoke with people, there was never a dull moment. So why must his biggest and most memorable and highlighted moment be his passing, his arrival at “Heipach Hachayim?”
Before traveling to Melbourne to learn Smicha I came to terms with the fact that I would miss the weddings and Simchas of friends and family, but I never agreed to miss a final good bye to a dear friend
I regret missing your Levaya and I hope you forgive me, but perhaps this will make it slightly easier for me to remember your life more that your passing, and the memories that will always be engraved in my mind will be happy ones and not images of tragedy and mourning.
Your two names tell us much about you.
Nosson – to give, you were always willing to give, enhance, help, share, teach and inspire, you were a real Mashpia, a person who enjoyed giving rather than taking.
Noteh – to plant, continuing the theme of giving you planted hope and strength in all the people who knew you, when you father passed away you displayed great courage, tremendous Emunah and Kabolas Oyl, and even though you might not have realized, you inspired and affected all of us.
So dear Nosson, I miss you very much and can only wish and hope to see you again soon, but till then I will never forget you or place you in my past, I will live with you all my life. I will take the inspiration and chizzuk that you always brought to your environment, and use in my Avodas Hashem B’simcha, something which was very much one of your strong points and character traits.
You are the only person who can try and explain why you had to leave us so early in your life, you are now in the world of truth, so I hope you are happy and are being taken care of. I am sure you gave your father lots of Nachas and I am sure he is now giving you the most lovely fatherly embrace only possible in Olam Ho’emes. You are a Chassidishe Bochur and I am sure you are Farbrenging with the Rebbe and enjoying yourself immensely, being Ne’he’ne Miziv Hashchina.

`But please do not rest, accompany your father and the Rebbe, make some sort of Beis Din and proceed to the Kisei Hakovoid. Go plead by the Ribono Shel Olam to have Rachmonus on your family, and that Der Aibishter may shower them with Bli Gvul Brochos and Yeshuois, plenty of Nachas, Gezunt, happiness, and the strength in Emuna and Bitachon to continue in their ways of goodness and kindness they are known for, then please remind the Rebbe in front of the Aibishter of the plight of his Chassidim (B’soch Klal Yisroel) stuck down here in Golus.
I am not worrying about you but I think you are about me, I have only questions, you have only answers, I can not see you but you can see me, I find myself in Almo D’Shikro you are in Olam Hoemes, so we may be worlds apart, but my dearest Nosson, I love you and I think you love me so lets be friends.

תהא נפשו צרורה בצרור החיים
ונזכה זעהן זיך מיט'ן רבי'ן דא למטה והוא יגאלנו
והקיצו ורננו שוכני עפר ואתה בתוכם!
