This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

Being a Shliach with Nosson in in Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon Chabad, I could probably write dozens of stories, but these two i feel are quite important.

As Chavrusas with Nosson for Chassidus in the morning for my year of shlichus in LA, I was always impressed how he would come at least half an hour early on most days to review Tanya Bal Peh. When we'd learn together, even though we were both tired he used to read the maamrim we learned in a loud voice and with tremendous chayos, almost singing as he learned. As a result, that hemshech of mamorim that we learnt together is among those that I know best from all my Yeshiva years.

One time I brought a bochur who wasnt't a Lubvitcher to Yeshiva here in L.A. for Shabbos. Seeing that this bochur felt out of place, Nosson walked over to him, greeted warmly him and spent a long time farbrenging with him. To this day, over a year and a half later the bochur still talks about what a great guy Nosson was and how he felt so at home with him.

Nosson, we hope to see you with Moshiach now!
