This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

By Mendy Kreiman

My name is Mendy Kreiman and I learn in Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon Chabad, where we had the privilege of having Nosson as a Shliach last year. I just want to share one example, of his unique Ahavas Yisroel.
This past Succos I called Nosson, I couldn’t get through to him so I left a message. That night was Hoshaneh Rabah, I was sitting in the Sukkah and arounf one or two in the morning, California time, which is four or five in the morning New York time, Nosson returned my call. We chatted for a few minutes, though it seemed like much longer than that to me.
I had never considered myself especially close to Nosson, but when I hung up the phone I thought to myself, “Wow! Nosson really cares about me!”
I really miss Nosson and I wish I had known him better.
We need Moshiach right now!
