This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

Hi, my name is Arye Goodman. I am a bocher in YOEC and Nosson was my Shliach last year. I want to share just two short incidents that happened with me and stuck in my mind.
By Aryeh Goodman

Once, we were talking about life & he kept on trying to convince me to learn Tanye Bal Pe, and I just wouldn’t commit to anything. So Nosson said that he’s willing to get up before Chasiddus to help me. Originally I stall wouldn’t agree, till I told him that I’ll make a deal: since you care so much, we’ll wake up one morning before Chasidus and go play tennis together at poinsettia park, then the next morning we’ll learn Tanye. He right away agreed wholeheartedly and actually got up the next morning especially early to play tennis, just in order to get me to learn Tanye Bal Pe.

Just another one of my many amazing memories that I have of him: I was having a tough time in Yeshiva, I wasn’t so happy. Nosson noticed my feelings, and that night he said to me “Goodman, det in the car! I want to talk to you”. I’ll never forget that night and what he said. He means a lot to my life and always will.

I love you Nosson and can’t wait to see you again. Moshiach Now!
