This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

No Words

By Yosef Kramer
In a known letter sent from the Rebbe to the Israeli Genaral Ariel Sharon after losing his son Goor in a tragic accident, the Rebbe explains the Possuk recited when comforting a mourner, "המקום ינחם אתכם בתוך אבלי ציון וירושלים" (May G-d comfort you among all other mourners of Zion and Yerushalim) in which I find this explanation to be very fitting to Nosson
The Rebbe asked: Why compare mourning for a lost relative to the loss of Jerusalem and Zion? He then drew three parallels:
1. Just as the loss of Yerushalayim & Tzion is a community sorrow to all Yidden (those that lived close and to those that lived far), so too the loss of Nosson is a loss for ALL Yidden – to those who were and those who were not (if any) touched by him some way or another.
2. Just as the destruction of the Bais Hamikdash will be rebuild with the coming of Moshiach so to very soon with the coming of Moshiach will we –physically- be reunited with Nosson.
3. The Romans managed to destroy the Bais Hamikdosh of gold, silver and stones but was not successful in destroying the Bais Hamikdosh which is built in each and every one of our hearts, so to here, the Malach Hamoves (angel of death) managed to take Nosson from our eyes but was unsuccessful in taking him away from our hearts, knowing that Nosson is now in the Olam Haemes and every good thing we do in him memory is only elevating his Neshamah to a greater and greater level.
Wishing the Deitch family only Simchos until the ultimate Simcha of the Geulah.
p.s. if I would write of how I witnessed Nosson’s care for another than it would limit the Nosson who was unlimited when it came to making a person feel like a million buck!
