This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

Nosson's Way

By Mendy Lein

After chanuka hanhala in miami came to Nosson asking him to add on to his job as mashgiach chasiduus in the morning and shachris, Nosson came to me and we discussed it and I was telling him that just night sader was not a big deal the bochurim are usaly up, and it does not make your kesher with the bochurim a hanhala member style, but if you will add the morning it may change your kesher with the bochurim Nosson thought about it and told me ill be a different kind of mashgiach, I will make it my job to get them to come to zal and not just mark attendance and give it to hanhala. and he did just that he would go up to the dorm and wake up bochurim every morning and if it was a day of shiur he would shlep them out of bed, and at night he would go out of zal and look for anyone outside and send them in he focused his job to get as many guys in to zal, and as many guys to learn he made chavrusas between bochurim, always had 2 boys to learn with him. He was not a mashgiach who just focused on marking attendance and giving it to hanhala and his kesher with the bochurim got better for the most of them, he showed them he cares that they should be in zal learning he was there to help the bochurim and give them the push they needed he was not there for hanhala he was there cause that was his way to sit in zal and learn and that’s what he wanted the bochurim to do, he was mashgiach in his way and the way that worked out so nicely

Nosson we all miss you and I’m sure you are continuing to do whatever you can to bring moshiach right now
