This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

2 summers ago I was a waiter in gan yisroel parksville with Nosson as one of my head waiters. When I applied to be a waiter I only knew his name and nothing else about him, so I went around asking who is this Nosson Deitsch? What type of guy is he? Etc.... And all responses I got were on the same lines "He is one amazing bochur, very nice person, caring, farbrengs well, energetic, full of chayos, One of a kind!!"
The day I get accepted, I get a phone call from Nosson telling me I was accepted. In that phone call he spoke to me like we knew each other for years!! Not shy at all, very lively and he made me feel very comfortable talking to him (and in camp itself being around his presence). From then on I knew that my summer would be an awesome one for at least one thing I knew, that Nosson will be my head waiter!!
In camp itself Nosson was always involved in everything and also sometimes taught us in our learning classes- and even though sometimes the bochurim didn't show too much interest, Nosson never showed any signs of giving up hope and stayed enthusiastic about it!!!
In the middle of camp, Nosson had to leave for 2 weeks, and let me tell you, those 2 weeks were just different. There was something missing, and everyone felt it. Because nosson was always there for u, putting the interest in u etc...
There's one more thing that stuck out a lot by Nosson which i haven't seen by too many people- Nosson's smile! Whenever I met him - in and out of camp- there was always a smile on his face.

Nosson we miss you dearly!
