This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

Thoughts

By Shlomy Levertov

Standing in line to wash my hands after the Kevurah I picked up my head (probably for the first time) to look at some of the other people... Bochurim who came from far and near... Bochurim who spent a lot of money to come in for Nosson...

Looking over my shoulder my eyes hit a guy and I wondered "How did he know Nosson?"... The question stuck in my head. After a couple of minutes the question changed "How did I know Nosson?". Memories of living in CH from the age 11 starting racing thruogh my mind. Its true I knew him from around the neighborhood, it is also true that I knew him from CGI Montreal and YSP, yes we were Lt Generals together in color war, we spent a year in OT together and I had the Zchus of being on Yeshivah shlichus with him for what felt like a life time - but that didn't properly answer the question "How did I know Nosson?".

Then it hit me I knew Nosson because Nosson was that type of guy who had the ability to know and truthfully care about everyone... Nossons ability to be friends with everyone went against the famous saying "a jack of all trades is a master of none"... He truthfully loved everyone and that's why everyone knew/loved Nosson.

No words would be a good enough sign off. Moshiach NOW
