This blog is dedicated to our dear friend, Nosson Deitsch OBM, who was tragically torn away from us on Lag B’Omer 5770.

Nosson was a one-of-a kind Bochur who influenced many people, from all ages and backgrounds. He had a perpetual smile on his face and an extremely generous heart. He would do the biggest favor for a friend with only a moment’s notice. All those who knew him feel they had a unique relationship with him.

There are many untold stories of his selflessness, kindness, and the affect he had on countless lives. Please share your story, so that others can get a glimpse into his unique character and towering accomplishments.

By Rabbi Kaplan

I heard this from Nechemia at the Shiva and thought it should be shared for everyone's benefit.

Nechemia knew someone going to Florida and put him in touch with Nosson. They arranged to meet numerous times to go out for lunch, dinner, put teffilin on etc. but invariably, when the time came, the man had to cancel. Weeks or months later when the man was in the airport leaving Florida he saw a frum Jew and, recalling his failure to meet Nosson, felt guilty. He called Nosson on his cell phone to apologize and say that he was leaving. Nosson asked him where in the airport he was? He, Nosson, was the frum Jew the man had seen and was standing right next to him. Such stories occur when very special people are involved.
